What a brand refresh actually costs, audit to launch

The pricing map

Brand work clusters into four bands: a free automated audit (like ratemybrand.pro), a focused identity kit around $1,500 (logo, colors, type, one page design), a complete landing page sprint around $3,500 (message, design, build, handoff), and a retainer for ongoing systems work.

The bands are not quality tiers; they are scope tiers. A $1,500 kit and a $3,500 sprint can both be excellent — they deliver different amounts of outcome.

Where the money goes

A sprint's cost is mostly message work and frontend build, not "design time." The deliverable is a page that converts, which is why the price tracks the outcome, not the hours.

The audit is free on purpose: it is the diagnosis, and the diagnosis is what makes the paid work credible. If you cannot say what is wrong with your homepage in 60 seconds, you cannot spend well on fixing it.

What to spend first

If you can only fund one thing, fund the landing page sprint, not the logo. A converting page pays for the rest of the system later. The logo matters; the page that books calls matters more.

Always budget a month of runway after launch to judge the work. Conversions move slowly at first.
